Midlands Think Tank and Chamber Business Networking Dinner a Huge Success

SUCCESSFUL ‘MEETING IN THE MIDDLE’ TAKES PLACE AT PARK HOTEL

Successful ‘Meeting in the Middle’ takes place at Park Hotel
EMBRACING technology could put the midlands at the heart of business -  that was the key message that emerged from The Midlands Think Tank - ‘Meeting in the Middle’, a 2-day business networking event for Midland SMEs, which took place in the Mullingar Park Hotel on Thursday and Friday 14th and 15th November 2013.
Over the course of the two days, 300 delegates heard how the midlands, with a low cost environment and good transport links, could use new technologies to leverage their business advantage. Economist and Newstalk presenter, Marc Coleman, said that embracing these new technologies could be the key to putting the midlands on an equal business footing with urban areas, resulting in huge opportunities. The Chamber Business Networking Dinner jointly hosted by Midlands Gateway Chamber and Mullingar Chamber in conjunction with the Midlands Think Tank was also held on Thursday 14th November.  The evening was a tremendous success with 150 people from across all business sectors throughout the Midlands getting together for an evening of informal networking.  The guest speaker for the event was Brent Pope, rugby analyst with RTE and he provided great entertainment for all the attendees.
