MidlandsIreland.ie is the regional brand which actively promotes the Midlands as a destination for enterprise, tourism, learning and living. The MidlandsIreland.ie brand now occupies a prominent position near the winning post at the regional racecourse in Kilbeggan, in line with the MidlandsIreland.ie Brand Management Strategy 2011-2016 An evening at the Kilbeggan Races is one of the most enjoyable experiences, combining fun, friendship and atmosphere for the thousands who return meeting after meeting. The sign at the racecourse will generate brand recognition, enabling locals and visitors to the track to gain a ‘sense of place’ by visiting the MidlandsIreland.ie site which includes an action packed events calendar for the region. The visually distinctive and high profile sign will also serve to promote the regional brand to hundreds of thousands of people across the world as Kilbeggan Races is broadcast live on the cable and satellite channel, At The Races, which is now available in 14 million UK and Irish homes and reaches average daily audiences of between 350,000 and 400,000 viewers. Pictures are also broadcast via At The Races to international racing fans around the world including to online customers in the US, Germany, Spain, Holland, Asia and Woodbine in Canada. SIS broadcasts all Kilbeggan races into the 10,000 betting outlets in the UK and Ireland. Over 10,000 further retail betting outlets are able to receive simulcasts from Kilbeggan in regions as diverse as Australia, the Caribbean, Sri Lanka and Turkey. Entries are also invited to the MidlandsIreland.ie Photography Competition, which runs through to September 7th.
