President of the Midlands Gateway Chamber Paul O’Reilly, Ray Byrne Vice President and Angela Rigney Administration and Operations Officer met Marty Whelan, Master of Ceremonies, to finalise details for the ‘MidlandsIreland.ie Gateway to Innovation and Excellence awards’ taking place in the Mullingar Park Hotel on Friday 20th May, at 7.15pm. The President of the Midlands Gateway Chamber, Paul O’Reilly has this week said ‘Ticket sales for the MidlandsIreland.ie Gateway to Innovation and Excellence awards are going well and the event promises to be an evening where the business community from the entire region can mix, network and celebrate the achievements of all the award winners on the night.  Paul added that despite the current recession there is a tremendous level of interest in nominations for the different award categories.’ Paul continued to say; ‘nominations have now closed and remarkably, early indications suggest that there is twice the amount of nominations in the Emerging New Business Category than any other category and this is tremendous to see as it reflects positively on the entrepreneurial spirit obviously alive in the Midlands’.
